K.C. Ball

K.C. Ball lives in Seattle, Washington, a stone’s throw from the waters of Puget Sound. She became an addict of the written word as a child in Ohio and began writing fiction full-time four years ago.
Snapshots from A Black Hole & Other Oddities is her first short-story collection. Her short fiction has appeared in various online and print publications, including Analog, Lightspeed, Flash Fiction Online, and Murky Depths (the award-winning British fantasy magazine) over the past three years.
Her novel Lifting Up Veronica will be serialized online by Every Day Publishing (www.everydaynovels.com) beginning January, 2012, and is slated for print publication in May of that year.
K.C. won the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future award in 2009 and her award-winning story, “Coward’s Steel,” appeared in the Writers of the Future 26 anthology. She is a 2010 graduate of the Clarion West Writers Workshop and an active member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America.
